
Caterina is an Italian classical flutist currently residing in Zürich, where she’s been appointed as the Solo Piccolo in the Opernhaus Orchestra in 2024. She obtained her Master degrees in Basel with Felix Renggli, where she focused her specialization on traverso and historical performance, and later in Zürich, in the class of Silvia Careddu.
She has taken part of world renowned youth orchestras such as Pacific Music Festival in Japan, and the Gustav Mahler Jungendorchester, where she has participated in the Special Project 2022 with Teodor
Currentzis. She has collaborated with the Maggio Musicale in Florence and the Orchestra Mozart under the direction of Maestro Daniele Gatti, and in the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana (OSI). Caterina has won several prizes at international flute competitions including: Concorso Internazionale di Montalto 2011 (2nd place), Concorso internazionale Rovere d’Oro 2011 (3rd place), Concorso Internazionale di Montalto 2012 (1st place), Concorso A Gi Mus Sanremo 2012 (1st place), Concours National de Flute et Piano de Montecarlo 2012 (1st place). Mention), Concours de flute de la grande Motte, Montpellier 2013 (3rd place), Concours National de Flute et Piano de Montecarlo 2014 (1st place), Concours National de Flute et Piano de Vence 2016 (1st place). In 2016, she made her debut as a soloist with the Sophia Antipolis Symphony Orchestra.
In 2013 she received a scholarship to the International Summer Academy in Nice for a stage with Maxence Larrieu
